IT STARTS WITH KNOWLEDGE

Baseline Information

ASSESS TO KNOW

In order to know where to start, a player need to know what their faults are, if any, and how to address them. At FAST, our player assessment and evaluation process is designed to gather as much information as we can about player mobility, pitch velocity, ball movement profile, spin rate, spin efficiency and biomechanics of the pitching motion. Based off this information, FAST instructors can identify the “low hanging fruit” to begin that player’s development. Without that baseline of information, there is no way of knowing what our starting point is and how we will get to the end.

WE DON'T "DO" LESSONS

Long term goals, with short term benchmarks
LONG TERM DEVELOPMENT

Real development does not happen overnight, nor is it a quick process. Player development takes time to happen. We encourage players to have long term goals, but also have short term benchmarks they are working towards. A single session does not get that player any closer to their long term goals, it’s just a temporary fix to a potentially much bigger problem. By training consistently over a longer period of time, athlete’s will begin to see the change they want as new motor patterns are developed, strength is increased, mechanics become more in sync and their bodies adapt to the training protocols.

Not Developing Athletes...
FULLY CUSTOMIZED PROGRAMS

Not every athlete is built the same, moves the same or has the same development issues. Because of this, FAST offers each athlete a fully customized workout plan based on their individual needs. Workouts are built out so that each player knows which drills they need to do, how many sets, how many reps and how often they should be doing them in order to see the change that they desire. It is up to the athlete to put forth the effort in their training that will yield them the results that will help them attain their long term and short term goals.

Fast Performance as a whole reformed me into the pitcher I used to be. As freshman in college I partially tore my labrum falling about 7 miles in my fastball velocity. The next year I had back problems at a junior college and even took my velocity down further. I looked for a solution and that was Fast Performance. In just under three months the whole staff made me feel at home while encouraging me to crush my velocity numbers as well as movement with my offspeed pitches. At this facility they treat you like family and help you strive for your goals. With the help of Jason Hirsh and the rest off the staff I added 8 miles per hour to my velocity and truly learned how to be a pitcher. Thank you Fast Performance!
